9.11 - Pray How?
To
pray and to be with my Lord, I go into the deepest part of my being.
A place, a sacred place, a place of love that is silent, dark, the
darkest of night, wordless, and empty of all human senses. It is
a place, a no place where lonely the Lord speaks in this silence, empty wordless night of
nights beyond any understanding of mine with my active mind and memory.
This is the Lord's place, the Lord's Word, the Lord's Spirit that as a
mere human being I know not. It is only in being in what seems
to be the worst part of me that I find the language of my Lover.
In returning to this place and never knowing or understanding, I begin
to love the Giver and not my Lover's gifts.
In this seemingly hidden place, the secrets it holds begin to ever so
slowly come a live in my very being. I am transformed day by day
and inch by inch to live in God's world. This is a
transformation that prepares me to be in this world but not of this
world.
In this way, my prayer that is prayed in the hidden darkest of nights
to an ever present-absent Lord becomes a light for others as it is
prayed at the heart beat of our Cosmic Christ.
This becomes the place where Christ is inviting us to pray since the
beginning of the unimaginable pain and suffering of 9.11, the
remembrance of the Last Supper!
