In Scripture...

"How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God . . . but . . . for God everything is possible."

Mk 10:17-27

Rich or Poor?

It is not rich or poor; it is a spirit of  poverty that prepares us to enter the kingdom of God because everything is possible with God.

If we have but very little and cannot share it with another person with less, we are held by possessions.  In other words, possessions control us instead of our having and using them as  possessions for  sharing with others.

What makes our heroes on the planes and in NYC, the Pentagon, and in the field of PA, heroes, is that they give everything that they have in this spirit of poverty.

On 9.11, over 7,000 people gave  even their own lives that we may be heroes for each other -- Christ for each other.  In living and dying, their lives are given that we may live in freedom to be Christ in 2001.

Let us live in a spirit of poverty and hold this freedom as life giving, as filling us with love, and Christ Centered to heal ourselves and each other.
