In Scripture... "Suppose a man had a hundred sheep . . . will he not . . . go in search of the stray? . . . Similarly, it is never the will of your Father that one . . . should be lost." Mt 18:12-14 |
Finding the Lost? This passage always was a problem for me. It seemed that God left the 99 for the 1 person who lost his/her. As years have pasted and contemplating this scripture, I now understand that God holds the 99 in his heart and love while God loves the lost to being found... ...and actually, we are all lost at one point in our lives for seconds, hours, days, months, or years and God is always loving us from being lost to being found. These are other words for being healed, converted, and transformed. Christ died for us 2000 years ago and 2000 years later he is saving us, now, today...as we can love each other in, through, and with Christ from being lost to being found.... |
