In Scripture...

"Whatever your work is, put your heart into it . . . It is Christ the Lord that you are serving."

Col 3:23-25

Trading for God?

It seems to me that this is exactly what happened when the Stock Market opened the Monday after September 11, 2001.

Was it to open the Market or was it to be true to who they are in Christ that these people put their companies back into operation so quickly?

It was not about trading on the open Market, it was about who they are and who we are.

It was about their lost; pain, and sorrow, put their heart in their work (clerks to exec.) to relocate their operations without files, PC's, phones, office space to other locations or new locations around NYC.

It was about their hearts breaking and traveling in a City that is in so much pain to have their Companies ready to ring the first bell for trading in less than a week; while, most of the rest of us were paralyzed with fear and pain.

It was and is about being true to who we are as New York'ers, Americans, and World Citizens.

It was and is about serving Christ the Lord in living through the pain by healing ourselves and others.

Work is a passionate driving force that comes from and goes to an inner centeredness in the Lord.
