In Scripture...

"You have seduced me, Yahweh, and I have let myself be seduced ...  there seemed to be a fire burning in my heart."

Jer. 20:7-13

Discerning...
inspired by Ignatius Loyola

When I first read this scripture, I read scheduled instead of seduced.

Where it be seduced or scheduled, we are not free to release the fire burning in our hearts.

What is the fire burning in our hearts?  Why does the fire burn in our hearts?  The Spirit is the fire burning in our hearts!

This is the movement of spirits that Ignatius speaks about.  What seems like a tough of war or a quiet desperation is the pull of the pluralized tensions of our lives.

In the silence and solitude of prayer, we begin to come centered in love to spiritually know that the fire burning in our hearts is very live itself ...the Spirit of Divine Love!

Ignatius
