In Scripture...

"...it is no longer I, but Christ living in me . . . who loved
me and gave himself for me."

Gal 2:19-21

Less us. More Christ
inspired by Ignatius Loyola

At first glance, we cannot understand the mystery that we can say with Paul that 'it is no longer I, but Christ living in me...'

It is living the mystery, we are transformed by Christ's love when we who are:

  • prejudice and begin or continue to love those of all color.
  • controlling and begin or continue to let other's live their lives
  • jealous and begin or continue to look at our own accomplishments instead of others
  • addicted and begin or continue to live without the use of or need of the addition
  • lacking faith and begin or continue to believe that Christ our hope for loving God, others, and ourselves

In these moments, when we now live and do what is not naturally ours except for the grace and gift of the Lord, we know that Christ is living us and living in us.

Ignatius
