In Scripture...

"If the Lord doesn't build the house, the work of the builders is useless."

Ps 127:1-2

Balancing the Seesaw...
inspired by Ignatius Loyola

Are we the builders who work in vain?  Is our work useless?

So many of us, work so hard at building the Lord's house and we are not always letting Christ build the house. It is in letting go and living in the mystery of a spirit of poverty that we even begin to become builders in the Lord's name.

This means that we are purely motivated.  We are using our ego for only why we have an ego.  Our ego is meant to do what we are inspired to do by our heart.  In other words, our heart tells our ego, not our ego telling our heart.  It is only when our ego takes on a life of its own, are we are not centered in our true selves.  The false self is driving, controlling, and influencing our life; rather, than our being guided by our heart filled with Christ's love.

We are part of a team and not the team.  We are part of the Mystical Body and not an individual.  We are loved unconditionally by Christ and not the giver of love.  We are centered in the Giver and not the gifts.

It is in centering like on a seesaw with Christ that be really begin to balance the work of building the house that is in the middle of the seesaw. This house cannot stand unless we remain in unity with Christ.  It is in moving in ways that Christ asks that we will always remained balanced on the mystical seesaw of life itself .... Divine Trinity.
