In Scripture we parallel the events in Mary's life to the events of 9.11... "While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son." Luke 2:6-7 |
Human Life... On the first dark night before Christ's birth, Mary and Joseph were looking for a place where Mary was to give birth to Jesus. By saying Yes to God some 9 months earlier, Mary give birth that night to Jesus by giving Him a human body. When Todd Beamer on flight 93 that cashed in the field of PA said 'let's roll' and the group of passengers attacked the people who were acting like terrorists, they gave human life to those at the original attack destination of this plane. Yes, by laying down their lives for strangers on 9.11, they gave human life to so many others in the same way as Jesus give His life for us by dying on the cross and rising on Easter morn. In the same way, we give life to everyone that we interact with and pray for when we say yes to receiving and giving love as Christ loves.........continues |
