In Scripture we parallel the events in Mary's life to the events of 9.11... "When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety." And he said to them, "Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" Luke 2:48-49 |
Our Father's House... When Mary was thinking that Jesus was with Joseph and Joseph thought Jesus was with Mary, Jesus was not with either one of them. You see in those days, the woman and men traveled separately. On discovery of Jesus' not with either one of them, they immediately retracted their steps. When them reached the Temple, they found Jesus who said to them "Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" After stating the truth, Jesus did return to His Parents home and remained there for 18 years. Like Mary and Joseph, when the second plane hit the second Twin Tower and the two towers came crashing down, the family and friends came to 'ground zero', the hospitals, the Armory, centers, and other locations around NYC searching for their Mother, Father, Son, Daughter, Granddaughter, Grandson, Husband, or Wife. Very few found their loved ones, even fewer found the bodies of their loved ones. These loved ones were saying with Jesus that they must be in Our Father's house. In sorrow and tears, these people returned to their homes without their loved ones, only, to return to NYC over and over again in search of their loved ones who were missing at ground zero. As the days turn in to weeks and these people come to the sad realization that their loved ones will not return and are in Our Father's house, they return to their own homes for compassion and comfort from other loved ones and all of us. Because the people who died are young and have young children, the return to home will not be for just 18 years but more likely 30, 40, 50, 60 years before they will be together again in Our Father's House. In Our Father's house, we know their are rooms for all of us and those who are their are loving us to be with them when our day and hour comes.....continues |
