...about a reflection on Holy Saturday - spirituality of the Tomb...

Spirituality of the Tomb

What minimized distractions for me and was liberating while opening a prayer of unceasing, is when one Holy Saturday years ago and as I sat in front of the empty tabernacle, I spontaneous said in my heart of heart 'what's it all about?'  This was the beginning of what I call the 'spirituality of the tomb.'

Spirituality of the Tomb is Waiting ...like with the cycles of life and the cycles of nature.  There is always dying in death or extreme pain before rebirth.

For me, it is living the mysterious hours in our human terms of when Christ was entombed.  It is the waiting before the creation.  I like to think of our being saved as the salvation/creation.

We are saved to create and we are healed of certain parts of our false self to be Self in the Mystical Body of Christ to

...create kindness where their is little   or none

...create love where there is anger

...create healing where their is pain

...create peace where their is hatred

...create goodness where their is evil.
