Christ the Wounded Healer...

Are we called to give up or embrace Christ's love...

Paralyzed...
inspired by Scripture

What are the grudges that drive us to binged and drank away the pain?  No we may not eat or drink in excess physically; although, what are our excesses that keep us from the present moment.  What are the hurts and pain that we carry so deep within ourselves for so long that we cannot see, hear, or be with even for an instant?

It seems to me that we do not or cannot love or forgive because we are paralyzed by a moment that continues to repeat itself until we are facing ourselves by living with our false self, forgiving ourselves, and loving ourselves.  In the living, forgiving, and loving ourselves, we live with, forgive, and love others.

We cannot live in the present moment until we face this moment that paralyzed us.  As we face this other moment, we begin to let go and are transforming to the present moment.  It is my experience that it is not taking up or giving up Lenten practices that brings us through this healing practice; rather, it seems to me that it is embracing and saying 'yes' to the call, healing, forgiveness, and love of the Lord.

As Our Lord calls the Apostles at the beginning of Christ's public life, Jesus is calling each of us today to this Lenten journey in the present moment of being a 1st century disciple 2000 years later in the Eternal NOW.

In this Eternal Now by living in the present moment, we are embraced by the Cosmic Christ in Trinitarian Love!
