Is the Gospel, the Word, a story or transformation?

If I am not transcending my false self, I am not living as Christ is calling me to live.

For me, the transformation takes place when I read Gospel and let it live in my heart, let it speak to my heart, let it take me beyond my self, let it live in my heart and not in my head, let Jesus speak to me, and let myself hear Christ speaking in the silence of my soul's heart.

Christ, Wounded Healer, most wounded and most healing when he says... 'Father, forgive them...' ...and forgive me ...for I do not know what I am doing.  When I react to people's anger, am envious of another's gifts, do not prioritize my days and life, and am not living in love, I do not know what I am doing and am very much in need of Christ's healing love.

In reading and living Gospel and truly hearing the Word, I am learning to live less from my false self and more from the center of who am always in Christ's love...
