When I first read this Psalm, I was frightened. I was young and wanted my freedom. It seemed frightening to think that someone probes me and knows me. To think this person knows when I sit and when I stand, seemed that someone was too close. This same person understands me from afar -- that was good -- at least it was from afar -- even if it be Our Lord.

Well the years have passed and now I am completely blessed to know that Our Lord loves me this much. This love means that God knows all about me and cares when I sit and when I stand. To know that the Lord understands me is a gift that is so dear a blessing to me.

Now I know that I am invited to probe and know the movements of the Spirit in my life and in my world -- our World -- Christ's World!
