In Scripture... "You have not seen him, yet you love him . . . already filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described." 1 Peter 1:3-9 |
Not Seeing...We Love inspired by Scripture Can you image Peter writing these words before the Resurrection? The Peter that we know and love was unable to see Christ who walked with him on this earth. His eyes are not what sees Christ. It is Peter's soul that sees Christ. As with us who walk the earth as 1st century Christians 2000 years later, we see Christ and know His love with our soul's heart. We know beyond knowing and are filled with joy. Only, there are now mere words to describe this joy. Sharing the living Word, Christ, we live by Gospel values of transforming death to life....mystical death births the Divine Nativity in our hearts -- today. Today, we can pray about how Christ loved His family, apostles, disciples, friends, strangers, and even those who acted like His enemies. In meditating, we can ask Christ to help us love our family, friends, co-workers, strangers, and those who we treat as enemies or who treat us as an enemy as Our Lord. We can live our peace and joy by discerning with the heart of Christ to walk as Christ walks in us...today! |
