Yes, we should be many things.  We should be holy.  We should be living saintly lives.  We should be able to hasten the coming of the Lord.

Or should the should be's be in the being and letting go of the should be's for what is in the now and in the trying to be.

As human beings, we are only in the Spirit in poverty.  Yes, even the poverty of the should be's of our lives; therefore, what is the should be's of our lives that Christ is bringing to healing this Christmas?

It would seem to me to be that this is not the translation Peter had in mind and if he did, what did the meaning of this world mean in his day?

In Peter's day and in our day, letting go is always the order of the Lord's Day.
