In Scripture...

"I shall lead the blind by a road they do not know . ... I shall turn the darkness into light..."

Is. 42: 16

Spiritual Blindness?
inspired by Scripture

Are we not all blind to the spiritual life that is within while we cannot see the road an inch ahead of us?

It seems to travel the spiritual life is like driving in the deepest morning fog that has not lifted above the mountains.  There is no light to lead.  Only the red lights on the car in front of us if we are so blessed. If we have the red lights we at least know that we are following someone who may know where they are going; although, we do not know how windy the road ahead may be.  Even if we have traveled this road before, on this trip it is a totally new experience and more unknown if we have never been in this part of the earth's terrine.

Filled with tension in hopes of going in the right direction and not hitting anyone, any animal, or thing, we can hardy pray words beyond feeling.  We proceed and as the morning turns to late morning and as the fog lifts and the red lights become light.  For a time we know that we see the road ahead and the direction it is going.

...and in the spiritual, an ease of mind, heart, and being, our soul is blessed with a little of our darkness turning into God's light....
