To be clothed in heartfelt compassion, for me, means to forgive
others who have hurt us ever so deeply from their pain and
unhealed selves.
By hurting us, they have betrayed, abandoned, and not given us
love; rather rejected us at the core of our being.
Can we forgive these people we live with, work with, have
relationships with? No, not as mere human beings.
It is in the bearing the pain of one another.
It is in walking a mile in the other's shoes.
It is knowing their but the grace of God, go I.
It is in hanging on the Cross with Christ.
By letting go of what is not God in us and healing our own
wounds, we are clothed in love and can hold heartfelt compassion
for another sister or brother by loving them in transforming their
pain to loving others.
By not being centered in our false self and becoming centered in
Christ to forgive the hurts that hurt our very souls, Christ's
peace will reign in our hearts.
